Middle Division News

Dear Parents:

A big thank-you to Anna Murray, middle division art teacher, and Stefani Curley. middle division music teacher, for the stupendous Night of the Arts! Many thanks to the parent volunteers who made this wonderful event possible! Our students possess so many talents, and it is always overwhelming to spend the evening viewing their artistic creations and listening to their amazing musical talent!

To all the beautiful, sweet, and hardworking moms, may your day be as special as you are! Happy Mother’s Day!

The middle division awards assembly will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the gym. We are so excited to have an in-person event this year and hope you can join in the celebration. Parents of students receiving Diligence, Soaring Eagle, and Grade 8 Awards will be notified in advance. Students will also be recognized for WordMaster’s Competition, (Grade 5-8), National Mythology Exam (Grades 5-8), National Exploratory Latin (Grade 6), National Latin Exam (Grades 7-8), National Spanish Exam (Grades 6-8), and the American Mathematics Competition (Grades 7-8).

Cinco de Mayo (Chips and salsa snack for middle schoolers! Thank you, Parents’ Association!)

*Thursday, May 12th*
Sports Banquet, 5:30 pm, St. John’s Gym

*Friday, May 13th*
Grade 8 Lock-in, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Gym)
Grade 8 students will eat pizza, enjoy a surprise activity, sign yearbooks, and watch a special slideshow of  SJE memories.

*Monday, May 16th*
Summer reading and math emails are sent to parents.
Yearbooks distributed to students in Grades 5-7.

*Thursday, May 19th*
Awards Assembly 2:00 pm,Gym *Parents are invited to attend.

*Monday, May 23rd*
English and Foreign Language Exams (Grade 5 students do not take a foreign language exam. They will have a special treat and enjoy some free time.)
Half-day Dismissal 11:30 am to 11:45 am
ASP Available 12:00 pm-6:00 pm

*Tuesday, May 24rd*
Science and History Exams
