TAMPA - This summer, St John's took more students to the National Junior Classical League Forum than ever before! Eight students, from Grades 6-8, led by 2021 Consuls Reed Wilson and Mia Bento competed virtually this year in academic and creative events. In previous years, only 2-5 students would compete at the National level. We are so proud of our students for their creativity and dedication to their Latin studies, as well as their accomplishments!

Nearly 1000 students competed at Nationals this year from across the country in:

  • E-Sports (Olympika)

  • Academic Testing (100 question tests on subjects like reading comprehension, derivatives, mythology, grammar, vocabulary, Roman life, mottoes/phrases, et cetera)

  • Team Trivia (Certamen)

  • Premade Creative Projects

SJE National team: Reed Wilson, Mia Bento , Zayden Saldin, Jackson Davis, Alexandria Mehr, Maya Rollins, Nora Clabby*, Chloe Saldin*
*two of the youngest students in the entire competition

Congratulations to our St. John’s students for their achievements!
