SJE Receives Historic $3 Million Donation for New Campus Plan

"A Place to Grow" Campaign gift is the largest in the school’s history

Tampa, FL - St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School is pleased to announce the receipt of an extraordinary donation of $3 million, marking the largest single contribution in the school's history. This transformative gift will significantly bolster the "A Place to Grow" campaign, propelling St. John's towards its vision of creating an innovative and inspiring campus for current and future generations of students.

The donor family has a deep commitment to the mission of St. John's Episcopal School. “This gift was so important to our family because the education and experience that St. John's has provided our children has been absolutely exceptional,” said the family. “These new facilities will impact generations to come and completely change this section of South Tampa in a way that will impact the entire community." This contribution reflects a shared vision for providing an unparalleled, values-driven education that empowers students to lead and serve. 

Announced in the Summer of 2023, the "A Place to Grow" campaign supports the development of a state-of-the-art campus, including a new 90,000-square-foot school building and playing field, and has received overwhelming support from the St. John's community and beyond.

It speaks volumes about our St. John’s community’s faith and trust in our mission," remarks Hugh Jebson, Head of School. “This contribution helps us build momentum for our campaign and the bright future of our school and its students."

The new campus will offer spacious classrooms designed to foster innovative teaching and learning, dedicated outdoor spaces for play and recreation, and state-of-the-art facilities for the performing arts, robotics, STEM, video production, and technology integration.
