Dear St. John’s Family and Friends:
St. John’s has a long history of support from our families, our faculty and staff, our parish, and the community. It is inspiring to see the level of dedication to our school. Last year, this generosity resulted in St. John’s setting an all-time record since becoming a 501(c)3 not-for–profit organization by raising over $233,000 through our Annual Fund Campaign! In addition, our faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees had 100% participation in the Annual Fund for the sixth year in a row. Celebratio, St. John’s largest fundraising event, is hosted annually by the Parents’ Club, and last year, this fun event netted more than $128,000 for the school. All Parents’ Club fundraising efforts combined raised $204,000 in 2011-2012. These thoughtful gifts have a direct impact on our students’ education.
As is the case with every independent school, fundraising is needed to help “bridge the gap” between tuition revenue and St. John's operating budget. This is an opportunity for our parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff, past parents, and friends to demonstrate their commitment to our school and mission and to directly enhance our students' education. In recent years, funds raised have supported facilities improvements, new playground equipment, classroom technology including SMART Boards and touch screen computers, and the installation of wi-fi on all three campuses. Annually, our fundraising efforts provide additional funding for art, music, science, library, athletics, and divinity studies, as well as supporting faculty professional development and financial aid.
Please explore the rest of the Support SJE section of our website to learn more about all the ways you can get involved and help “pay it forward” for this generation of Eagles and beyond.
With heartfelt thanks,
Director of Development
