Dear Form VII Students,

 

       I am happy to move to Tampa, Florida and be a part of your wonderful, exciting school! I am busy reading WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS and looking at the other good book by Wilson Rawls, SUMMER OF MONKEYS. Any book about "monkeys" has to be fun.

 

       I hope you are ready to tell me all about Tampa, so I know what is unique about your city. I would enjoy visiting fun sites as well as historical sites in new cities. I have lived in other cities, including Virginia Beach, Virginia. I love the ocean and have brought a picture of the  statue of "King Neptune: which sits at oceanfront on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. I recently taught grades 6-7 at Oak Mountain Academy in Carrollton, Georgia. I Love reading!!!!! There are so many intriguing young adult books to read! I have my own library that I will share with you this year!

 

       I love words, books and theatre! I write my own plays as well as adapt plays for students. I enjoy seeing students write about what they experience and hope to bring the arts to our work so that you become involved in learning and doing more!

 

       Right now I hope you are swimming, visiting and enjoying all that summer has to offer. I hope you are reading good books in your rest time and come back to school ready to go! I am looking forward to meeting you!
