Middle School

St. John's curriculum, from beginning to end, Form I through Form X, is designed to develop the academic and intellectual habits and skills required for success in secondary school, college, and throughout life. Knowing that physical activity enhances the learning process, all students have recess daily.

At the Middle School, emphasis on critical thinking skills, written expression, and oral expression is infused into the core subjects of language arts (literature, composition, vocabulary, and grammar), Latin (through Latin I Honors), math (through Algebra I Honors and Geometry I Honors), history, and science (through Physical Science I Honors).  Divinity, art, music, computer skills, and physical education supplement and enrich the core curriculum.
