Divinity

Train up a child in the way he should go,

and when he is old he will not depart from it.

                                                                                           - Proverbs 22:5

This is the web page for the Lower Division Divinity classes. Mrs. Lenfestey teaches Divinity in first and second grade, and Miss Fenlon teaches in third and fourth. We utilize the Episcopal Church curriculum, All Things New. In this Bible-based curriculum a passage from the Old or New Testament is examined in each weekly class. In addition to learning about the Bible in general, children will learn what the Bible tells us about how:

·        God created us in his own image.

·        God always loves us, even when we make bad choices.

·        God calls us to care for one another.

·        God calls us to care for the earth.

·        God calls us to welcome others.

·        God calls us to forgive one another.

·        God calls us to listen and talk to him in prayer.

If you have any questions about your child’s Divinity studies, or you would like to contact Father Connelly regarding a pastoral matter, please call the school or click on the appropriate email link below. All of us are excited about spending this year with your child talking about God’s love.
