Parent-School Partnership

Being a St. John's parent requires a real commitment to education and focus on a child's motivation and good work habits. Parents need to provide sufficient, well-monitored home study time each day. Teachers need to evaluate students' performance frequently, providing constructive and specific feedback about strengths and weaknesses in academic development, in order to foster the best efforts and achievement. This school-family collaboration will promote the best possible academic growth and measurable results.

Volunteer Assistance

Volunteer opportunities are an important part of St. John's School. The Parents' Club provides an effective framework for the many support and volunteer activities involving parents. Whether in connection with fundraisers, field trips, Field Day, or other special occasions, there are numerous ways in which parents can contribute their time and efforts. If you have the time and interest, please call the main office. If you are specifically interested in hosting prospective parent gatherings, or other such events, please call the Admissions Coordinator.

Parents' Night

Back to School Evenings are held for parents in September each year. The aim is to introduce faculty, to summarize new developments at St. John's, and to enable our teachers to explain their specific courses and activities. Forms I - II hold their own Open House so that parents with more than one child may attend both. Notices will be sent home at the start of school detailing these events. We look forward to this opportunity to meet with all of our parents and strongly encourage full attendance.

*The purpose of this organization is to support the mission of the School through the enrichment of its programs. The focus of the Parents' Club is to organize the volunteer and fundraising activities at the School. All parents and guardians are members of the Club and are encouraged to participate. We hope to create new opportunities for parental involvement that will enhance St. John's School and foster a greater sense of community. All issues and concerns about the School and educational matters must be directed to the Adminstration.
